Do I really need a car in Kauai?

Yes. Public transport is very limited. A rental car or Turo is essential to explore beyond your hotel area, especially for reaching the West Side and hiking trails.

Can I visit Haena without a reservation?

No. You must have a pre-purchased entry and parking pass, or a shuttle reservation. Entry without one is strictly prohibited and enforced.

What if the weather forecast says rain all week?
