Common Logistical Questions
Do I really need a car in Kauai?
Yes. Public transport is very limited. A rental car or Turo is essential
to explore beyond your hotel area, especially for reaching the West Side and hiking trails.
Can I visit Haena without a reservation?
No. You must have a pre-purchased entry and parking pass, or a shuttle
reservation. Entry without one is strictly prohibited and enforced.
What if the weather forecast says rain all week?
Don't panic. Rain on Kauai is usually local. If it's raining in Hanalei,
it's often sunny in Poipu. Check our Daily Dashboard and head leeward!
